This is a fantastic look at early to mid steam power on the Union Pacific. Diagrams include early named engines as well as ‘newer’ superheated locomotives and 2-10-2 and 4-8-2 locomotives. Build dates are up to 1923. Revision dates as shown on the cover and index are 1920, 1922 and 1923. Approximate break down of pages: Steam locomotive diagrams are about 60, tender diagrams are about 25 and index pages are about 25.

This is a scan of an original Union Pacific Steam Locomotive Diagram Book. Pages are 8.5 by 11 inches. 118 pages. The original diagrams were true blueprint white-line diagrams. It is the nature of blueprints, especially older blueprints, that they fade, causing some to be harder to read – and that is true of some of these photocopies. Photocopies are only as good as the originals. The original blueprints have been printed as a negative, black-line, making them as easy to read as possible. Even the very few pages that have some readability issues are included for historical completeness.
