The Burlington Northern Santa Fe’s Dakota Division criss-crosses the Dakotas but with plenty of track in Minnesota, Montana and Nebraska. Heading East, the lines begins at Minneapolis Junction and heads to Willmar where it breaks into two: one line heads South to Ashland Nebraska via Sioux City while the other line heads west breaking into two lines for the run across North and South Dakota. The lines end in Glendive and Terry with a final run across Montana (nearly to Billings) on the Forsythe Sub. BNSF has reorganized their division structure; this division is now a part of the Twin Cities and Montana Divisions.
