Conrail’s Lines through New England in 1981. Track segments in this 188 page track chart include the Shore Line from New Haven to Boston, the Boston Line from Boston to Niverville (Near Albany), the Hartford Line from New Haven to Springfield and most of the old Maybrook Line (from Beacon and Poughkeepsie through Hopewell Junction to Derby Junction. Also all the lines around Hartford and the industrial lines around Boston and Fitchburg. This track chart covers some rare territory including the Shore Line which Conrail ran on via trackage rights. Included is a key to track chart and maintenance symbols, and a vicinity map of the Boston area. much of the trackage has since been turned over completely to commuter lines and some is just abandoned.

This is a scan of an original 1981 Conrail track chart. This is from Conrail’s first decade and is in the old Penn Central format. Many lines are included that just a few short years later were abandoned by Conrail. 188 pages.
